When You Look In The Mirror

. . . who do you see staring back at you? Is it someone you’re proud of? Can you look this person in the eye and say, “I have done my best in all of my pursuits”. Is it someone who strives to be all they can be? Is it someone who continues to enjoy their journey called “life”? Does this person carry with them an abiding hope for a better tomorrow and an unrelenting drive to play a purposeful role in making it so?

Most importantly, do you see a person of integrity? . . . for if you don’t, then the previous answers are meaningless.

The performance below of “Mirrors” by Justin Timberlake and his band (JT and the Tennessee Kids) was powerfully delivered on SNL with a resonating message readily adaptable to a variety of situations in one’s life, and thus offering many interpretations. For instance, it could be for a past love, a current love, a close friend, a colleague sharing the same quest, for yourself . . . or it could be interpreted religiously (e.g., to the God of one’s faith).
